Police call off search after body found

The search for missing man Carl Matthams has been suspended following the discovery of a man’s body near the seawall at Mayland in Essex.

The body was found by police at about 11.30am today. His death is not being treated as suspicious.

No formal identification has taken place yet but Mr Matthams’ family have been updated and the police search suspended.
