Major road closed in Essex after reports of injured woman on A12

A part of the A12 in Essex has been closed as Essex Police deal with an injured woman on the carriageway.

Officers were called at 3.30pm to reports of a person on the road at Margeretting.

A roadblock has been put in place on the London-bound carriageway with traffic being diverted off at junction 15 for Harlow/Chelmsford. On the north-bound carriageway a rolling roadblock is in place.

Police are asking people to avoid the area.
