Liz Truss pledges Government will respect Supreme Court Brexit decision
The Lord Chancellor Elizabeth Truss has issued a statement following the Supreme Court judgment on Article 50.
The 11 justices of the Supreme Court heard evidence over four days in December 2016 before handing down their judgement today (24 January 2017).
The Lord Chancellor, MP for South West Norfolk, called the justices “people of integrity and impartiality”, and pledged that the government will respect the decision of the highest court in the country.
