Police have confirmed that two bodies have been discovered at Breydon Water in Great Yarmouth.
At this stage it is not known how the pair died. Police say it could take two to three hours to recover the bodies.
Officers were called to the scene shortly after 11.20am this morning after a member of the public reported seeing two bodies on the mudbank.
Police remain on scene and continue to work with colleagues from the Coastguard and Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service.
