Norfolk county council criticised for treatment of foster carers

Norfolk County Council has been criticised for the way it treated foster carers and some of the children they were looking after.

An independent review was set up in 2015 to investigate a series of complaints made by foster carers in the county.

Some carers have now been given written apologies and the council says lessons have been learned.

What this has helped us to identify is some particular weaknesses around the way we dealt with children in foster care, the foster carers themselves to learn some lessons and put them right.
