Woman set to break record by driving from Luton to India

Video report by ITV Anglia's Russell Hookey.

A Bedfordshire woman is set to spend 75 days behind the wheel as she hopes to make the record books.

Bharulata Kamble is embarking on a journey to drive from Luton to India, passing through 32 countries along the way.

The mother-of-two would be the first woman to visit the most countries in a continuous car journey driven solo in the shortest time.

She's not only hoping for a place in the record books but also wants to show indian girls in rural areas just what women can achieve.

"I'll be driving through 32 countries solo, covering over 32,000 km, many mountain ranges and three deserts and nine time zones."

"My main aim is to send the message to the society back home in India that education can change life of educated girls."
