Complaints made after judge trades insults with defendant in court
Complaints have been made against a judge who was involved in an exchange of insults with a man during his sentencing at Chelmsford Crown court.
John Hennigan, was jailed for 18 months for racially abusing a black woman and her children in Harlow.
During his sentencing he called Judge Patricia Lynch a four letter word.
Judge Lynch calmly quipped she thought he was one himself, but she's now been reported to the body which oversees judges behaviour.
