Guns used by royalty - some with gold triggers - are to be made in Northampton
A sporting gun manufacturer has opened a new factory in Northampton creating 30 jobs.
Longthorne hopes to make around 1,000 shotguns a year at its plant at the Waterside Enterprise Zone. The guns sell for between £15,000 and £30,000 pounds each and are mainly exported to Australia and the US.
It's a company with high profile clients. The Duchess of Rutland, Lord Coke of Holkham Hall in Norfolk , even Middle Eastern royalty apparently own Longthorne guns.
And now they're to be made in Northampton after the company outgrew its premises in Lancashire.
