Police name man and woman killed in bin lorry crash in Cambridgeshire

POLICE have named a man and a woman who died in a three-vehicle crash in Cambridgeshire.

The collision on the A1303 near Bottisham on March 2 involved a refuse lorry, a Vauxhall Corsa and Renault Kangoo.

Kubaeb Asad, 21, of Whitehill Road in Cambridge and Rumena Begum, 21, of Darwin Drive, Cambridge were killed.

The driver of the refuse lorry, a man in his 50s, received minor injuries as a result of the collision. No other injuries were sustained.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the road policing unit on 101.
