Children aren't active enough in winter - that's according to new research from Cambridge University.

Scientists tested 700 children and found in the colder months they spent only 47 minutes a day on their feet - compared to 65 minutes in the summer. They say more support should be given to families to enable kids to be more active.

Physical activity was at its lowest at weekends during winter. Children were at their most active during early summer, particularly at weekends.
