The Met Office has issued a warning for heavy rain in the west and south of the Anglia region.
The warning area covers: Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire, Central Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Thurrock, West Essex, Luton, Bedford, Southern Cambridgeshire and Southend-on-Sea.
It is valid until 10pm on Saturday 9 January 2016.
The Met Office says outbreaks of showery rain, heavy and thundery in places, will continue at times until late Saturday.
Given saturated conditions, please be aware that this may well lead to some surface water flooding and disruption to transport.
"A showery southwesterly airstream will affect England and Wales during Saturday.
"Within this airstream some more organised zones of heavy rain are likely, with lightning and gusty winds as additional hazards, these focused near coastal areas.
"Rainfall accumulations of 10-20 mm may occur in 3-4 hours, while a few locations may see 30 to 50 mm over the entire period."
Parts of the Anglia region, particularly Norfolk and Suffolk, faced surface water flooding of roads and fields on Thursday after a fortnight's worth of rain fell in one morning.
