A rabbit rescue centre is appealing to people to give homes to its older rabbits this Christmas.

The Rabbit Residence Rescue near Royston looks after around 200 animals at any one time and says it's too full to take any more pets.

It says younger rabbits are adopted quickly but older rabbits tend to be less popular, though they are easier to train.

The pets are all neutered and vaccinated.

The centreis also warning people not to give rabbits for Christmas unless they are certain they are wanted.
