Rush hour misery as lorry fire closes A12

Commuters in Essex face huge delays this morning - the A12 is shut in both directions.

A lorry caught fire at J17 (Great Baddow Bypass) and there is currently congestion from J16 (Galleywood) to J20a (Hatfield Peverel South).

It happened shortly before 7.30am between the exit and entry slip roads. Due to the position of the lorry, police say the road could remain closed for most of the morning.
