Gas explosion at flats in Suffolk

Emergency services were this evening called to a gas explosion at a block of flats in Suffolk.

Crews found a fire in the ground-floor flat, at The Vinefields in Bury St Edmunds following the call just after 9pm. The property on the floor above was heavily smoke-logged.

Fightfighters had the blaze dealt after an hour.
