16 year-old girl assaulted in Northampton

A girl has been assaulted in Crestwood Gardens, Lings, Northampton.

The 16-year-old victim was walking alone along Billing Brook Road between 10.30pm and 11pm on Sunday, 4 October, when a man followed her and tried to engage her in conversation.

As she reached the footpath area near the rear of Crestwood Gardens and Springwood Court the man grabbed her and dragged her for a short distance.

She managed to free herself and get away and the offender ran off towards Billing Brook Road.

The offender is described as black, aged about 19, 6ft tall with a skinny build and a clear complexion. He wore a black hoody with white lettering on the drawstrings and blue tracksuit bottoms.
