Protest expected during Dalai Lama's Cambridge visit
The Dalai Lama will be in Cambridge today. He's attending a two-day conference at Magdalene College with the former Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams and an audience of scientists, writers and philosophers. It's his first time back in the city since attending a Student's Union event in 2013.
But a Tibetan campaign group has promised a "loud and disruptive" protest on the streets outside - in protest over the Dalai Lama's alleged stance over their sect.
