Stevenage driver Lewis Hamilton has been confirmed as the first ambassador for the Invictus Games Foundation.

The Foundation, which was established with the help of Prince Harry, say that they chose Hamilton because of his "focus, determination and talent."

He will act as a role model for wounded, injured and sick Servicemen and women and will actively promote the Foundation around the world.

“After meeting the Invictus team at BBC Sports Personality of the Year last year I was inspired by their mental strength and determination to overcome adversity and succeed, which encouraged me to get more involved with the Foundation.

I’m proud to be their first ambassador.”
