Police investigate sudden death after body found inside burning car in Dereham

Police are currently investigating a sudden death in the Dereham area.

Officers were called at 10.25am this morning to reports of a car on fire in a layby off the B1147 at Etling Green. The body was found inside the vehicle; however, it is not known at this stage whether it's a man or a woman.

The road has been closed and the area sealed off whilst officers assess the scene. The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
