Blisworth Tunnel: Two centuries of history
In the early 1800s a feat of engineering was achieved on the Grand Union Canal in Northamptonshire with the completion of Blisworth Tunnel.
For centuries it drew in visitors and provided a link to London, but in the 1970s it closed because of fears it could collapse.
A few years later another major engineering project got underway, to shore up the tunnel near Northampton and re-open it. Now, 30 years on, the tunnel that links the villages of Blisworth and Stoke Bruene is back at the heart of the local community.
ITV News Anglia's Olivia Paterson's taken a trip through the tunnel, and a look back at its fascinating history.
