Body found during search for missing man

Police searching for 39-year-old Brien Chambers, who went missing from his home in Laindon, Essex on Thursday 4 September have found a body.

Officers were informed by a member of the public about the discovery on land close to Hornbeam Way, in Laindon, shortly before 3.15pm on Saturday 6 September.

Although a formal identification has not yet taken place police have informed Mr Chambers' family of the discovery and have suspended the search.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed.
