Police control room merger discussed

Police control rooms in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire could be merged into one under plans currently being discussed.

All three forces need to make budget cuts and it's thought a merger could save up to seven million pounds.

But there's also concern that it could mean a worse service to the public with responses could be directed by staff with less local knowledge.
