Future secured for land-mark Italian-style mansion in Northamptonshire
Daventry District Council has agreed to take action to secure the future of a land-mark Italian-style mansion in Northamptonshire.
Overstone Hall was built in 1866 and made use of what was cutting edge technology such as the earliest known cavity wall insulation, but it was badly damaged by fire in 2001 and has continued to decay.
The next step will be to buy the building from its current owners with the aim to restore it back to its former glory.
