Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy is in contention for a first England start, after Three Lions manager Roy Hodgson confirmed that regular no.1 Joe Hart definitely won't be the man between the sticks for Friday's clash with Chile at Wembley.

It means that either Ruddy or former Canaries loanee Fraser Forster will be named in the starting eleven, although Hodgson refused to confirm which keeper will get the nod.

"John (Ruddy) was with us from the beginning and I have had time with him and have had Fraser (Forster) with us for over a year. I will make that decision on whether I choose both or one tomorrow."

Ruddy has made one appearance for England so far, coming on as a substitute in a 2-1 victory over Italy in August 2012.

You can see if Ruddy can add to his solitary cap live on ITV tomorrow, with coverage starting at 19:30 pm.
