Arrest after chemical incident in Chelmsford

Essex police have made an arrest concerning the production of drugs, after five people were taken to hospital as a precaution, following a chemical incident in Chelmsford.

Part of North Avenue was closed today as a precaution, while a number of chemicals were safely removed from a property.

Police arrested a man on suspicion of being concerned in the manufacture of drugs.

The arrest comes after five people were taken to hospital for check-ups, when a number of chemicals were delivered to a drugs and alcohol centre for young people in New London Road.
