Man on station roof causes delays to Greater Anglia trains

There are severe delays on Greater Anglia trains due to a man on the roof of Ipswich station.

Greater Anglia said the station was evacuated this morning, so the British Transport Police could deal with the incident.

Delays are between Norwich and Colchester, Ipswich and Cambridge, and Ipswich and Felixstowe. A bus replacement service is in place.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “BTP officers were called to Ipswich station on Friday, 19 July following a report of a man on the roof of a station.

“BTP and Suffolk Police officers attended the incident which was reported to BTP at 8.26am.

“Officers are currently on scene and speaking to the man.”
