Five people have been taken to hospital after a car overturned and crashed into railings in a city centre street. Ber Street in Norwich was closed for police to investigate what caused the crash.

Five people have been taken to hospital after a serious crash in Norwich which left a car on its roof.

Police were called in the early hours of this morning to Ber Street in the city centre after reports a car had hit the railings on the side of the road.

Ber Street in Norwich is closed while police investigate a serious crash that happened early this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5.45am following reports a blue car had hit railings on the side of the road.

Five people are believed to have been in the vehicle at the time. They have all been taken to hospital where two are described as being in a serious condition.

The road is likely to be closed for some time.

Ber Street in Norwich closed after serious accident

Police are currently attending a serious road collision in Ber Street, Norwich.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5.45am following reports a blue car had hit railings on the side of the road.
