There were huge queues on the A14 in Cambridgeshire on Friday after a lorry full of women's underwear caught fire.

Fire crews were called just after 10am and spent much of the day dealing with the incident on the westbound carriageway near Fenstanton.

Traffic was stopped while fire crews dealt with the incident between between junction 31 (M11/A428) and junction 24 (Godmanchester).

The fire was eventually put out at around 3pm but fire crews warned that it would still take some time to move the HGV and the road would need to be resurfaced.

It meant a day of frustration for many motorists who were stuck in stationary traffic for hours on end.
