Former Town legend Kevin Beattie dies
The former Ipswich Town star Kevin Beattie has died of a suspected heart attack.
His friend Mark Murphy tweeted saying the Ipswich legend's family had asked him to break the news.
Kevin Beattie was 64 and regarded as one of Ipswich Town's greatest players.
He died at home early on Sunday, the day after broadcasting live for BBC Radio Suffolk.
Ipswich Town said they were devastated to hear the news and thoughts were with all Kevin's family and friends.
He won the FA Cup and UEFA Cup with Ipswich and also played nine times for England.
Tributes are being paid to Beattie, described by Sir Bobby Robson as one of the best England players he'd ever seen.
