Police release four arrested over Chelmsford murder
Four people arrested in connection with the death of a man in Chelmsford have been released from custody.
Police say three men, aged 40, 53, and 59, and a 53-year-old woman who were arrested, will face no further action based on the evidence currently available.
The 53-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs, for which he has been released under investigation.
The murder investigation led by DCI Martin Pasmore of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate continues.
The police cordon near to Meteor Way, which is close to Essex County Cricket Club, will remain closed throughout the weekend.
Police will continue to make extra patrols in the area.
