Killer line-up as Norwich Crime Writing Festival gets underway

For the fourth year, the cream of the crime writing world is gathering in East Anglia for the Noirwich Crime Writing Festival.

Among those appearing at the festival are Martina Cole from Essex who has written more than two dozen novels, the Scottish crime writer Val McDermid and mystery and suspense writer Anthony Horowitz.

Anthony Horowitz is a best-selling author and screenwriter whose latest novel is called The Word is Murder.

He penned the best-selling Alex Rider teen spy series and commissioned by Ian Fleming's estate to write a new James Body adventure.

He has written numerous television and film screenplays including Midsomer Murders and Poirot and was the creator the of the ITV series Foyle's War

The Noirwich Crime Writing Festival is an annual event bringing together crime authors along with new talent and fans of all things crime fiction.

It takes place over four days at the Norwich Arts Centre, the University of East Anglia and Jarrolds ending on Sunday 17 September.
