M11 closed by fierce fire in lorry
Drivers were warned of long delays on the M11 Southbound in Essex after a lorry burst into flames near Stansted Airport.
The road was closed between junctions 7 and 8 so crews could tackle the blaze.
The lorry's cab was completely destroyed. The fire also spread to the trailer which contained wood chippings and sand.
The fire was put out by 2:45pm.
There were warnings of heavy traffic on the Northbound carriageway too as drivers slow down to look at the fire.
Crews from Stansted, Great Dunmow, Harlow and Newport were called to deal with the fire.
