No serious injuries as car crashes into Essex ice cream parlour

Two people were left with minor injuries when a car smashed into the front of an ice cream parlour in Essex.

Police were called to Rossi's at Western Esplanade in Westcliff, near Southend, just before 11.50am today (Tuesday).

A Ford Focus had crashed into the shop front causing considerable damage.

A customer's hand was cut in the crash while a woman in the car cut her leg.

The road was closed while emergency services attended but re-opened at 3.10pm.
