Three whales found dead on Suffolk coast

Investigations are underway after three whales washed up dead on the Suffolk coast.

Coastal volunteers say the first dead minke whale calf was spotted on a mudbank in the River Ore near Felixstowe yesterday afternoon.

Another dead adult whale was seen in the water off Harwich and a third has washed up on the beach near Felixstowe Pier.

Volunteers from Felixstowe's independent lifeboat think she may have been hit by a large ship.
