'Shocking' CCTV shows dog cruelly beaten on Essex train
CCTV images have been released by police after a Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog was cruelly beaten on a train in Essex.
It happened on the Braintree to Witham train around 10.30pm on 10 October.
Train staff were forced to cancel the service after they discovered excrement on the seats and walls of a train carriage.
CCTV shows the dog being viciously abused by a man.
The unknown hooded man hung the dog by his lead and then swung him against the wall of the train.
The dog was then placed on the seat and pushed against the seat by the man's foot.
Officers British Transport Police (BTP) are urging anyone who has any information on the dog involved to come forward.
