Video report by ITV News Anglia's Victoria Lampard.

An animal trainer at Banham Zoo is spending his weekend locked in an aviary full of vultures.

With numbers across the world declining, Peter McLaren is hoping to make more people aware of the bird of prey and raise much needed funds to protect them.

Peter has worked at the zoo for almost seven years.

He'll be in the cage until tomorrow- only leaving the aviary to eat and for toilet breaks.

He says the number of vultures out in the wild are declining at an alarming rate.

The £2000 Peter hopes to raise will go towards vulture conservation.
