MPs in show of defiance after brutal death of colleague Jo Cox
Video report by ITV News Anglia's Sarah Cooper
MPs from across the region have been pressing ahead with constituency engagements in defiance of fears over their security.
It follows the death of Labour MP Jo Cox, who was killed on the street just yards from where she'd been meeting her constituents in West Yorkshire.
MPs say they're determined to keep making themselves available, despite threats to their personal safety.
Norwich South MP Clive Lewis was in Lowestoft today, where he was due to visit the Greater Gabbard Wind Farm.
Mr Lewis was first elected as an MP at the same time as Jo Cox. He said he'd thought long and hard about whether to do any political work today, but eventually decided to.
Northampton North MP Michael Ellis was at Weston Favell Shopping Centre in Northampton today looking at redevelopment.
He says what happened to Jo Cox was a hammer blow to the whole MP community and his thoughts are with her family.
Despite the shocking death of Jo Cox, he will continue his public engagements and believes nothing should break the bond between MPs and their constituents.
South Cambridgeshire MP Heidi Allen and Cambridge MP Daniel Zeichner have also continued with constituency engagements.
Today both MPs went ahead with their Friday surgery in Trumpington, Cambridge.
