Family of little girl killed in bouncy castle incident 'truly heartbroken' by her death
Video report by ITV News Anglia's Tanya Mercer
The mother of a seven year-old girl who died at a fun fair in Harlow over the weekend says she's 'truly heartbroken' by her death.
Summer Grant from Hellesdon near Norwich suffered multiple injuries when the bouncy castle was swept across a park on Saturday afternoon (March 26).
She was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow but died from her injuries.
Summer's father Lee Grant also thanked fundraisers after more than £2,500 has been raised to support the family.
Following the death, the Harlow MP Robert Halfon has said authorities should consider banning bouncy castles from Harlow Town Fairs pending a safety review.
Hellesdon Parish Council have also released a statement to ITV News Anglia, saying that they "cannot imagine the tremendous grief experienced by Summer's family, especially at Easter when families are together."
