Husband is dead and wife in coma after Tunisia terror attack
A woman who should have been celebrating her 30th wedding anniversary is instead being flown back to Britain as a widow after she and her husband were caught up in the Tunisian terror attacks.
Allison Heathcote, who's 48, from Felixstowe, was shot five times on the beach by the gunman. Pictures of her being carried from the beach on a sunbed were shown around the world. She is being flown home to the UK tonight.
Her husband Philip Heathcote was listed as missing, but Allison's family have confirmed that he was killed in the attacks on Friday.
Mrs Heathcote, of Felixstowe, Suffolk, works for a shipping company and has a grown-up son.
Her brother Simon Boon said she had been shot three times in the stomach.
He said she had also been shot twice in the shoulder and had undergone surgery for the wounds before being put in an induced coma.
