Motorists to be prosecuted for taking photos of A14 teddy bear lorry crash

Cambridgeshire Police say that 15 motorists will be prosecuted for taking photos with their mobile phones of a crash between four lorries on the A14 this morning.

The HGVs collided at the Girton interchange near Cambridge just before 6am.

One of the lorries was carrying seven-and-a-half tonnes of teddy bears.

Two of the lorry drivers were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

One lane has reopened but the road is not expected to reopen fully for several hours.

The road closure is around 16 miles from J36 to Junction 31, to allow traffic to divert via the A11, A505 and M11.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact on 101.
