School near Norwich goes blue and white for headteacher
If you turned up at Taverham Junior School today you might have been surprised to see all the children wearing blue and white - the colours of Ipswich Town!
For headteacher Paul Stanley, it was the icing on the cake as it was his 50th birthday.
400 pupils were dressed in blue and white, reflecting his love of Ipswich Town football club.
It was a surprising gesture given that Taverham is very much Norwich City territory, and may of the children are canaries fans. But that was all forgotten today.
Although Mr Stanley supports Ipswich, his two sons are Norwich City season ticket holders.
One of his birthday presents was a signed Ipswich shirt, which school staff funded with an auction bid raising money for Parkinson's.
