Ipswich Town Manager Mick McCarthy has confirmed that midfielder Jack Collison will leave the club when his contract comes to an end later this month.

The former West Ham man penned a short-term deal back in September but has found it difficult to break into a Town side that are soaring high in The Championship.

The Welsh international has struggled with knee injuries throughout his career, and McCarthy has agreed to let him find another club.

McCarthy will also be without the services of midfielders Luke Hyam and Stephen Hunt who miss out through injury and illness respectively.

Winger Cameron Stewart made his comeback for the club's under 21s side at Brentford this week, but the trip to Lancashire may come too soon for him.
