Some Norwich City fans are so upset at their club's miserable campaign in the Premier League that they've launched a unique protest to voice their anger.

Canaries supporters have been voting in their droves for veteran goalkeeper Carlo Nash to land the club's Player of the Season Award, despite the 40-year-old having not played a single game.

Norwich are currently in the bottom three and look destined for the drop, and many fans feel that none of the club's regular first team players deserve the accolade.

Thousands of supporters have taken to Facebook and Twitter to vote for Nash, and the tactic is working with the former Everton man reportedly holding a slender lead in the race for the prize.

The trophy is due to be presented before the Canaries' final game of the season against Arsenal.

A win for Nash would represent huge embarrassment for those in charge at Carrow Road, but the third-choice stopper has already stated that he wouldn't accept the award should he come out on top.
