The Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht club, where Roger Pratt was a member, have released a statement following his death.

The club's flag is today flying at half mast.

Roger Pratt, who was 62, set sail with his wife from Lowestoft on the Suffolk coast in June, navigating the English coastline before heading to the Algarve and on to the Caribbean.

It was part of a round the world sailing trip to celebrate Margaret Pratt's 60th birthday.

They were moored off the coast of Vieux Fort, St Lucia, when the couple were attacked on their boat on the 18th January. Mr Pratt died defending his wife, who is now being treated in hospital for her injuries.
