Norfolk Wildlife Trust have bought 143 acres of salt marsh and freshwater pools - the missing link in an 8km stretch of coastline nature reserve.

They secured it thanks to public donations and a £1.5 million grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund

Norfolk wildlife Trust's 'Living Coast' scheme will include a new education centre and facilities for Cley's hundred thousand annual visitors.

The sale of Pope Marsh should go through by November and restoration work of this important habitat will begin soon after.
