£250m investment in new UK bioscience facilities
New science facilities at the Babraham Research Campus in Cambridgeshire are being officially opened today by the Universities Minister, David Willetts.
He's announcing a £250 million pound government investment into UK bioscience. The funding will ensure the UK's bioscience research base remains globally competitive and at the forefront of meeting the grand challenges faced by society in the coming decades.
He's also giving a speech at the University of East Anglia in Norwich tonight.
