Man dies after stabbing in north London street

A man has died in a stabbing on a north London street.

The victim, believed to be in his 20s, was found wounded after police were called to Corinne Road, Tufnell Park, at 9.27pm on Tuesday.

Officers gave the man first aid and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended, although he could not be saved.

The Metropolitan Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene at 10.07pm.

The man’s next-of-kin are yet to be told of his death and he has not been been formally identified, while a post-mortem will take place in due course, the force said.

No-one has been arrested over the incident so far and murder detectives have been notified.

Earlier this month the number of homicides in London so far this year passed 100.

On Tuesday a 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment after he was stabbed outside Dagenham Heathway Station during the evening rush hour.
