Ex-Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis gives birth to baby boy

Former Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis has given birth to her first child, a baby boy.

Her manager, Adam Muddle, said: "We are delighted to confirm that our client Stephanie Davis gave birth to a baby boy on Friday.

"Mother and baby are doing fine."

It is thought the 23-year-old had been in labour for around 48 hours before giving birth naturally in Liverpool.

Stephanie announced she was pregnant shortly after splitting with her ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell, who she met in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

So far he has refused to confirm the child is his, but reportedly said: "Of course, if he is my son, I will absolutely step up and support him."

The actress has said she will have a paternity test but she will keep the results private as "Jeremy knows the truth".

McConnell has come under fire for holidaying in Thailand in the lead-up to the birth.

The pair first got together after in January 2016 but split just a few weeks later.

Stephanie had just finished a five-year run playing Sinead O'Connor in Hollyoaks.

She is yet to reveal what she has named her newborn son.
