Stray cat becomes internet sensation after interrupting live TV breakfast show

A stray cat has accidentally become an internet sensation after wandering directly onto a television set during filming.

The feline stole the show after interrupting a live breakfast programme in Turkey called "Good Morning Denizli".

As the presenter, Kudret Çelebioğlu, talks from behind a counter, the white and gray puss jumps into view, wanders around on the counter before lying down on Çelebioğlu's laptop.

At one point, the cat looked straight at the camera as if it was co-presenting the show.

Determined not be interrupted, the presenter acknowledges the cat but carries on with the show.

Referring to a "surprise guest", Çelebioğlu goes on to present the daily newspaper headlines.

He noted that as the weather had turned colder, stray cats were getting hungrier.

After tickling the cat on the head, Çelebioğlu asked for help from production staff to remove the animal.

The cat has now reportedly been named Hüsnü and adopted by one of the station's staff.

Since his appearance, Hüsnü has begun to feature prominently on Twitter across Turkey.
