Ryan Giggs questions Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge's decision making
Daniel Sturridge failed to impress for England during their stalemate in Slovenia on Tuesday night, and Ryan Giggs has picked out the striker's decision making as an area for concern.
Giggs was discussing the match as a pundit for ITV Football in Ljubljana, where the Three Lions were fortunate to escape with a point following an inspired display from Joe Hart.
At the other end, England failed to engineer as many clear cut chances as their hosts, and Man United legend Giggs wasn't entirely impressed with the performance of lone forward, Sturridge.
Speaking alongside Ian Wright and Lee Dixon after the game, he said:
"I played with Daniel Sturridge at the Olympics. He has everything; good touch, good finish, he’s quick, can run the channels. But to be a top player, it’s decision making, you have to make the right decisions. Today, there were too many bad decisions."
Liverpool host Man United in the Premier League on Monday night when Daniel Sturridge may have to settle for a place on the substitute's bench as Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane continue to impress.
