Integration tsar criticises government over immigration

The Government has reportedly come under fire for failing to deal with the impact of immigration.

The criticisms have been made in a report by the government's integration tsar, Dame Louise Casey, according to The Sunday Times.

The paper says the report has been ready for months but publication was delayed amid concern over its content.

According to the newspaper, the report is understood to criticise the government for failing to get a grip on immigration and its impact on public services until too late.

It reportedly cites a lack of a strategy to integrate communities, and the failure to promote a programme designed to counter radicalism.

The newspaper said it is understood that the report also warns "liberal tolerance" has gone too far.

It was previously suggested that the report could warn that political correctness from council chiefs threatens British laws, culture and traditions.
